﻿Concours - A competition exam where candidates are judged and ranked by grade. It can refer to any competitional exam (mostly for painting exhibitions in this case), but the Cherry Blossom Exposition is the one that's referred to most of the time when Concours is brought up.

Yamato Nadeshiko - A metaphor for an ideal Japanese woman in Japanese culture, grace, and speech.

Itadakimasu / Gochisousama - Former is a phrase similar to that of saying grace before meals. Latter is a phrase said after eating the meal.

Zangi - A type of fried chicken that's widely known in Hokkaido, different from generic fried chicken. It's seasoned with soy sauce and garlic, and fried in wheat as well as potato starch.

Pun on donations - During the shrine visit in Tomoko's route, she throws in 45 yen. The number, 40, can be read as しじゅう, which can also be read as 始終 which means constant or all the time. 5 can be read as ご. 円, which is yen can be read as えん, which then can be read as 縁, which can mean many things, one of which is relationship or bond. Put it all together and 45 yen can be read as しじゅうごえん, or 始終ご縁. 

Yoshitsune - During Saya's route, she makes references to Yoshitsune and Shizuka Gozen. These are characters from the popular Japanese play, Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura.
